The Seahawks practiced outdoors for two hours this afternoon. After practice, Coach Carroll canceled tomorrow’s final OTA session as a reward for the team’s hard work over the last three weeks. Here are some notes from today’s practice.
Two injury updates worth noting today. Offensive tackle Breno Giacomini was absent from practice today because of a doctor’s appointment to check on a previous knee injury. Giacomini is expected to be back as a full participant at minicamp next week.
Coach Carroll reported some optimistic news in his press conference today. Defensive end Chris Clemons is ahead of schedule on his rehabilitation from a torn ACL and while still cautious, doctors are keeping the door open on the possibility that Clemons will be available for week one against Carolina.
On the field, the secondary had a great day of practice. Kam Chancellor got the day off to rest, same goes on the offensive side of the ball with wide receiver Percy Harvin. The starting offensive line looked really consistent today. The starting unit today consisted of Russell Okung, Paul McQuistan, Max Unger, J.R. Sweezy, and Michael Bowie from left to right.
The Seahawks are off until next Tuesday when they will start a three-day mandatory minicamp. Check back next week for the first Seahawks minicamp wrap-up report of the 2013 offseason. Thanks for reading!
