Moffitt Suspended

7 Dec

The NFL announced today that Seahawks Offensive Guard John Moffitt has been suspended for four games for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. Initially I was upset about this news because I thought that since he is out for the season, he would have to serve his suspension at the start of next season. Fortunately for Moffitt and the team, he can be suspended now, while he is on injured reserve, and be able to play at the start of 2012 but he will not be paid for the final four games of this season. Hopefully this sends a message to the rest of the team to make sure they are staying away from drugs that may register on an NFL drug test.
